Introduction

In the current VUCA environment (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous), organizations have to determine which strategies and initiatives will enable the organization to survive and thrive. This course will enable you to take a customer-focused approach to delivering and sustaining value at various levels within the organization. Learn about organizational alignment, adaptive planning, prioritization based on value, and cross-initiative communication.

Students who demonstrate understanding and application of the course materials will receive the ICAgile Enterprise Product Ownership (ICP-EPO) certification.

Objectives

At the end of this course students will be able to:

  • Empower Enterprise Product Ownership to be a value-driven role in the organization
  • Have awareness of the skills and behaviors needed to drive business value and good product ownership
  • Build a vision that drives strategic initiatives to deliver and sustain value
  • Understand scaling frameworks and coordinating actions of multiple teams to achieve value
  • Understand the purpose, objectives, and dynamics of portfolio management
  • Be able to seek value in organizational initiatives and lead for value achievement
  • Understand that initiative value is often only achieved via delivery of a program or portfolio
  • Use analysis to determine how to drive valuable outcomes
  • Help make decisions regarding initiative ‘go’ or ‘no-go’ and to pivot appropriately
  • Understand how to align initiatives with strategic value
  • Understand how to track value across the life cycle of a product

Student Profile

  • People who in work in a Product Owner or Business Analyst role on agile teams for projects, or other titles including: Product Managers, Product Leaders, Value Managers, Portfolio Managers, or any other roles that are responsible for delivering value at scale.
  • Anyone seeking to transform their organization from an output-based approach to an outcome-based approach.
  • Anyone seeking to become certified in ICAgile Enterprise Product Ownership (ICA-EPO).

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites to attend this course. However, we highly recommend attending our Product Owner Fundamentals for Business Value (ICP-APO Certification) class prior to this course.

Course Materials

Each student will receive a copy of the course documentation prepared by Netmind.

Methodology

Engaging and interactive course. Our instructors teach all course materials using the demonstrative method; the participants learn new concepts through exercises and real application practices.

Certification

Students who demonstrate understanding and application of the course materials will receive the ICAgile Enterprise Product Ownership (ICP-EPO) certification. This certification is part of the Agile Delivery Learning Roadmap and is one of two certifications in the Product Ownership track. The second certification in the track can be earned by attending our Product Owner Fundamentals for Business Value (ICP-APO Certification) course. Netmind is accredited to certify students as ICP-EPO in virtual environments and in both in-person and live, virtual environments for ICP-APO. Learn more about ICAgile.

Additionally, students will earn 21 credit hours for their attendance.

Accreditation

A certificate of attendance will be issued to students who attend at least 75% of the course duration.
