The Lean IT Leadership course is based on the basic knowledge acquired through Lean IT Foundation. Lean IT Leadership focuses on ensuring that people who fulfill a leadership role within a Lean IT organization know what they need to do to help develop their organization. The role can be performed in a formal or informal capacity. People following the Lean IT Leadership curriculum can benefit from understanding the Lean IT Kaizen feature. One of the main tasks of Lean IT Leadership is to drive and teach continuous improvement. The tools for these tasks are discussed in detail in Lean IT Kaizen.


At the end of this course students will be able to:

  • Course objectives, which follow the Lean IT Foundation learning goals, focus on providingLean leadership development training specific to IT professionals in a leadership role, both formal (ie, manager) and informal.
  • The course will use the Lean A3 tool as a basis for progressively investigating all aspects of Lean IT Leadership. The goal is to ensure that each participant gets a detailed view of their personal  Lean IT Leadership development at the end of the course.
  • Each student will demonstrate the application of the learning results by performing an A3. The creation of the A3 is part of the class results.

Student Profile

A Lean IT Leader is someone who is committed to ensuring that the IT organization adopts Lean principles and operational excellence, and can be at any level of the organization in any department.


The Lean IT Foundation certification is a prerequisite.

Course Materials

Each student will receive a copy of the course documentation prepared by Netmind. As well as a Lean IT Leadership exercise manual and sample exams.


Engaging and interactive face-to-face course. Our instructors teach all course materials using the demonstrative method; the participants learn new concepts through exercises and real application practices.


This course prepares students for the Lean IT Leadership certification exam (not included in the course).

Additionally, students will earn 21 credit hours for their attendance.


A certificate of attendance will be issued to students who attend the course for at least 75% of the duration.
