Introduction

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to estimate software projects.

During the course, there are a series of techniques that can be useful when making estimates. The course is intended to discuss the different methods and how we can design and improve our own method of estimating project time.

Objectives

At the end of this course students will be able to:

  • Evaluate the risks and implications of the estimation in software projects
  • Make estimates for work, cost, and duration in software projects
  • Apply metrics to calculate  estimates
  • Design and improve your own estimation method

Student Profile

All those professionals who participate in the process of estimating, in whole or in part, in software projects.

Prerequisites

We recommend attendees have some experience in team leadership and know the basics of project management.

Course Materials

Each student will receive a copy of the course documentation prepared by Netmind.

Methodology

Engaging and interactive face-to-face course. Our instructors teach all course materials using the demonstrative method; the participants learn new concepts through exercises and real application practices.

Certification

There isn’t an official certification associated with this course. However, students will earn 7 credit hours for their attendance.

Accreditation

A certificate of attendance will be issued to students who attend the course for at least 75% of the duration.
