Introduction

In this one-day course, you will learn the critical skills required to create high performance teams.

SAFe Advanced Scrum Master can be delivered as part of a SAFe ART or independently to Scrum Masters who wish to build their skills in an enterprise context.

Objectives

At the end of this course students will be able to:

  • Build high performance teams, and use the concepts of forming, storming, norming, and performing.
  • Act as an Advanced Scrum Master and manage high performance teams.
  • Apply the basic concepts of an Advanced Scrum Master, including the Advanced Scrum Master as a Servant Leader and how to coach your team.
  • Form teams with insights on team structure, team purpose, and how Scrum ceremonies foster collaboration.
  • Avoid roadblocks by learning the five dysfunctions of a team.

Student Profile

This training is ideal for new teams in an enterprise agile adoption program, or it can be used to re-baseline existing Scrum teams as required for scaling.

Prerequisites

There are no pre-requisites to attend this course.

Course Materials

Each student will receive a copy of the course documentation prepared by Netmind.

Accreditation

A certificate of attendance will be issued to students who attend the course for at least 75% of the duration, and diploma will be issued to students who pass the evaluation test.

Certification

There isn’t an official certification associated with this course. However, students will earn 14 credit hours for their attendance.

  1. Section I: What is the role of an Advanced Scrum Master on a team?
    1. Advanced Scrum Master as servant leader, coach, and mentor
  2. Section II: What is the most efficient process to build effective teams?
    1. Forming a team by building an effective team structure, being an effective ScrumXP process shepherd, and fostering collaboration
  3. Section III: How does the Advanced Scrum Master help teams resolve conflict?
    1. Guiding a “storming” team by surfacing and resolving conflict, dealing with individual performance, and fostering continuous improvement
