Introduction

In an environment where change is constant, companies need to have a strong understanding of project management and be efficient in order to become more competitive and improve processes.

In this express course, introduces participants to the fundamentals and best practices of Project Management. It enables them to manage projects while ensuring the maximum success guarantees and provides them with an homogeneous set of basic knowledge for project management.

The course offers a global view of the project management cycle, working in groups of 5 people on project management processes defined in the PMBOK® Guide of the Project Management Institute (PMI)®:

  • Initial phase
  • Planning
  • Execution of the parts
  • Controlling and monitoring
  • Closing of the project

The course is presented from the perspective of IT project management, introducing concepts of Agile Project Management as well.

 

Now, you have the option of taking the course remotely. In other words, you can take this Fundamentals of Project Management course from home using an online format, if you prefer.

 

Objectives

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Determine and understand the role of project manager.
  • Define the scope of the project.
  • Create a viable and effective project plan.
  • Properly supervise the development of the project.
  • Properly close a project.
  • Anticipate events and potential risks that a project may face.
  • Deal thoughtfully with new situations within a project.
  • Have the ability to adapt the management methods and procedures to the type of project they are involved in.

 

Participant Profile

Team leaders, analysts with responsibilities in projects, junior directors or project managers, and, in general, any professional profile who needs to understand the fundamentals required to successfully carry out a project due to their job.

 

Prerequisites

This course is aimed at anyone who wants to participate or is involved in project execution. The level of responsibility of the participant is irrelevant.

To follow the course, participants will receive a copy of the course materials created by Netmind.

 

Methodology

Face-to-face course with a demonstrative, active, and participative approach. The instructor in charge should try to introduce the content using the demonstrative method, and attendees will assimilate the knowledge through application exercises of real-life cases.

However, we also offer a remote methodology, which allows participants to take it from home or anywhere they else they choose, making it easier to complete.

 

Certifications

This is a continuous assessment based on activities carried out in groups and/or individually. The teacher or trainer will provide ongoing feedback, at the end of each activity, and individually to each participant.

By attending this course, participants earn 24 PDUs from the Project Management Institute (PMI)®.

Accreditation

You must pass the assessment test to receive the diploma and achieve a 75% attendance to receive the JJM 100-X course attendance certificate.
