- Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions
Course introduction
This course teaches Azure solution architects how to design infrastructure solutions. The course topics cover governance, the process, application architecture, storage, data integration, authentication, networking, business continuity, and migrations. The course combines classes with practical case studies to demonstrate the basic principles of architectural design.
Azure Architect Design Objectives
- Design a governance solution.
- Design a process solution.
- Designing an application architecture.
- Design storage solutions (non-relational and relational).
- Design data integration solutions.
- Design authentication, authorization, and identity solutions.
- Design networking solutions.
- Design backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Design monitoring solutions.
- Design migration solutions.
Participant Profile
Qualified students have experience and knowledge in IT operations such as networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data platforms, budgeting, and governance. Participants also have experience in solution design and architecture.
Prerequisites
Before participating in this course, participants must have prior experience implementing or managing Azure resources and a solid conceptual understanding of:
- Azure Active Directory
- Azure Compute technologies such as virtual machines, containers, and serverless solutions.
- Azure virtual networks, including load balancers.
- Azure Storage technologies (databases and unstructured data).
- General concepts of application design such as messaging and high availability.

Methodology
Active and participative course delivered through demonstrations, practical exercises, and clinical analysis based on all the theoretical topics taught by the instructor to address real cases related to the product. The trainer will also use different dynamics that enable group work in the classroom, such as challenges, assessment tests, and real cases to prepare for the associated Microsoft certification exam, if applicable.
Certifications
This course is certified by Microsoft®.
Assessment based on group and individual activities. The faculty will provide continuous feedback to each participant at the end of the activities.
During the course, participants will complete an assessment test that they must pass with a score of over 75%. They will have one hour to complete the test.
The terms of additional certification services are subject to those established by the license owner or the authorized certification body.
Â
AZ 305 course accreditation
A Certificate of Attendance for course AZ 305 will only be issued to participants with an attendance above 75%, and a Diploma of Achievement will be issued if they also pass the assessment test.
