The ISTQB Software Testing Foundation certification course is a three-day course that explains the fundamentals of software testing. This course has been accredited by ISEB and covers the ISTQB Foundation program. The training contains exercises, practice tests and games to highlight key aspects of the syllabus to help students understand the concepts and methods presented.

This course is suitable for Testers, Test Team Leaders, Developers, Development Managers, Business Analysts and anyone wishing to obtain the ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.
There are no prerequisites. However, we recommend that students wishing to take the foundation exam have at least six months of testing experience.
A Certificate of Attendance will be issued only to students with an attendance of more than 75% and a Diploma of Achievement if they also pass the evaluation test.
1. Fundamentals in software testing
This section discusses what testing is, why it is necessary and explains the general principles of testing, the fundamental process and the psychological aspects of testing.
2. Testing throughout the software lifecycle
In this part, we explain the relationship between testing and lifecycle development models, including the V-model and iterative development.
3. Static Techniques
The differences between the types of reviews and the characteristics of a formal review are explained. Learn how static analysis can find errors.
4. Test Design Techniques
This section explains how to identify test conditions and how to design test cases and procedures. It also explains the difference between black and white box testing. The following techniques are described in some detail with practical exercises:

This section discusses the organizational implications of testing and describes test planning, test estimation, test monitoring and test control. The relationship between testing and risk is covered, as well as configuration management and incident management.
6. Tool Support for Testing
In this unit, different types of test support tools are described throughout the course. This session summarizes them and discusses how to use them effectively and how best to introduce a new tool.
