Leading Virtual Teams

Leading Virtual Teams

The tools and technological capabilities available to us today give organizations the opportunity and ability to work in a more delocalized and global way. With many benefits also come new challenges – especially for those charged with leading these new virtual teams. Assuming a leader’s role does not change simply by the introduction to a virtual environment, challenges that might have already existed in the physical environment can be expanded when trying to overcome them virtually.

Throughout this course, students will learn to identify and constructively solve these challenges in a way that achieves a cohesive, productive, and trustworthy virtual team relationship.

Students who demonstrate understanding and application of the course materials will receive a certificate of attendance from Collaboration Superpowers.

At the end of this course students will be able to:

  • Identify the main challenges facing the leader and the team when working in virtual environments
  • Discover techniques and tools that help them successfully face these challenges
  • Identify the mindset changes required by the virtual team leader
  • Create a Remote Teams Handbook
