Introduction

Learn the core concepts of the Kanban Method and how team members can be more effective using Kanban. Design and implement a Kanban board on the single-team level. Learn how to visualize different types of work and associated risk. Become faster and more responsive, with better risk management and governance.

Students who attend this course will receive the Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP) professional credential.

Objectives

  • Understand the core concepts of the Kanban Method
  • Learn the 3 Change Management Principles and the 6 General Practices of The Kanban Method
  • Experience the benefit of WIP limits to improve flow
  • How to run the Kanban meetings to focus on the work and allow the team to organize around it
  • How to proceed to the next level with Kanban

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites to attend this course.

Course Materials

Each student will receive a copy of the official Kanban University documentation according to the contents of the course, along with the eBook “Kanban: Successful Evolutionary Change for Your Technology Business” by David Anderson.

Methodology

Engaging and interactive course. The instructor introduces content using the demonstrative method; the participants learn new concepts through exercises and real application practices.

Certification

Students who attend this course will receive Kanban University’s Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP) professional credential. Those wishing to further their professional development and certification in Kanban practices can attend our Kanban System Design (KMP I) and Kanban Systems Improvement (KMP II) courses to receive the Kanban Management Professional (KMP) credential.

Additionally, students will earn 7 credit hours for their attendance.

Accreditation

A certificate of attendance will be issued to students who attend the course for at least 75% of the duration.
