Professional Agile Coach Module 2 – ICF Accredited Level 1

Introduction to

This module is part of the Professional Agile Coaching Program (see full program here) and it allows you to obtain, if you meet all the requirements, the ICF Level 1 Professional Coach accreditation.

This module focuses on the ICF Professional Coach competency model, specially on learning how to guide and lead professional coaching conversations where active listening, powerful questions, reflection, and openness to learning prevail. You will explore the use of language as a tool to accelerate transformation and change in the people and teams you work with.

Objectives

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

• Gain an in-depth understanding of the role of an Agile coach within organizations.
• Understand what Professional Coaching is, its competency framework according to the ICF, and how it differs from other practices.
• Recognize how the competencies of a Professional Coach are a fundamental and differentiating pillar for successfully developing the other competencies of an Agile Coach.
• Conduct Professional Coaching conversations following ICF standards.

Participant Profile

• Professionals who want to continue developing their competencies as Agile Coaches by following the most prestigious competency frameworks in the sector, such as ICAgile and ICF.
• Professionals who want to begin their journey toward obtaining the ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential.

Prerequisites

• Participants must have successfully completed Module 1 “Coaching Agile Teams” and provide proof of certification (ICP – ACC from ICAgile).

Each participant will receive a copy of the course materials prepared by Netmind.

Methodology

Certifications

The module 2 “The Agile Coach as a Professional Coach” of the Professional Agile Coaching Program Level 1 certifies you as an ICF Certified Coach at Level 1.

This accreditation will allow you to continue your path toward becoming an ICF Associate Certified Coach. You can learn more about how to apply for the ACC membership by clicking here.

Important: It is not possible to access Module 2 without having completed Module 1. However, you may choose to complete only Module 1 without completing Module 2, but you will only obtain the ICAgile ACC certification and not the ICF Level 1 certification.

The terms of additional certification services are subject to those established by the license owner or the authorized certification body.

Accreditation

Netmind will manage the issuance of the corresponding accreditations with the certifying institutions.

Module 2: The Agile Coach as a Professional Coach

1. Professional Coaching Conversation Practices

• GROW model applied to agile environments
• Identification of the stages of a conversation
• Questions to lead the conversation
• Supervision of conversations
• Continuous feedback

Course evaluation

Assessment based on group and/or individual activities. The trainer will provide ongoing feedback at the end of activities to each participant individually.

Course duration

The module 2 “The Agile Coach as a Professional Coach” of the Professional Agile Coaching Program involves 36 hours dedicated to learning, delivered over a minimum of 2 months, consisting of the following activities:

• 24 hours of synchronous sessions (online and/or face-to-face) of professional coaching conversation practices under ICF standards.
• 12 hours of self-study work and preparation of conversation reports.
