Introduction

The accelerated a pace of innovation in the current IT market is driving the demand for greater cost efficiency. Unfortunately, this can be a difficult goal to achieve with traditional software development methods. A shift has been made towards Agile methodologies that allow for continuous evolution. No matter the industry, there is a need to apply these new agile methods to significantly reduce the costs associated with poor customer requirements and expectations management.

The PMI^® Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP^®) certification responds to this need, in order to understand the techniques, tools and knowledge that are used in agile environments for each of the areas of competence. From the development teams to senior officers, the certification also promotes the practices of the most used methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, DSDM or XP.

Prerequisites

While is it is recommended that students have participated in software projects for a minimum of 3 years, there is no prerequisite to attend this course. Additionally, PMI^® maintains minimum work requirements for those seeking to obtain the PMI-ACP certification.
