Agile Fundamentals (ICAgile ICP Certification)

Introduction

The objective of the course is for attendees to learn and apply the techniques needed to work effectively on an agile team. They will practice approaching a project using the terminology, principles, techniques, and foundational concepts from the most popular Agile Frameworks: Scrum and Kanban Method, within the Lean-Agile philosophy. At a higher level, this course impresses upon students what Agile really is: a mindset, not a methodology.

Students who demonstrate understanding and application of the course materials will receive the ICAgile ICP Fundamentals certification.

Objectives

At the end of this course students will be able to:

  • Understand the basics and principles of Agile
  • Plan and manage projects using Scrum
  • Understand the new way of working that agile entails and its application in the day-to-day
  • Apply new ways of working to create effective teams
  • Prepare, manage, and/or participate in the iterative cycles of agile teams
  • Use techniques and tools to tackle management using agile frameworks
  • Apply techniques for visual work management
  • Understand value management and outcome-based thinking

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course but it is recommended that students have experience working on projects as a team member.

Course Materials

In order to follow the course, students will receive documentation prepared by Netmind.

Methodology

Engaging and interactive course. Our instructors teach all course materials using the demonstrative method; the participants learn new concepts through exercises and real application practices. We encourage students to keep an open mind to new ideas and approaches, then discuss how they might apply them. Students track the most important ideas and critical skills in an action plan to be implemented after class.

Certification

Students who demonstrate understanding and application of the course materials will receive ICAgile’s Agile Fundamentals (ICP) certification. This certification is at the core of the Agile Delivery Learning Roadmap. Netmind is accredited to certify students in both the in-person and live, virtual environments. Learn more about ICAgile.

Additionally, students will earn 21 credit hours for their attendance.

The conditions of the additional certification services are subjected to the terms of the license owner or the authorized certifying entity.
