Introduction

In an environment of continuous change, organizations need to have efficient and effective management of the projects they undertake to improve their competitiveness.

This course introduces students to the basics and best practices in project management that will allow them to manage projects with the highest guarantees of success, providing them with a homogeneous set of basic knowledge for effective management of projects.

The course provides an overview of the life cycle of project management by working with each of the five process groups defined in the Project Management Institute^® (PMI^®) PMBOK^® Guide: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring/Controlling, and Closing.

The course is presented from the perspective of IT Project management, also introducing concepts of Agile Project Management.

Student Profile

This course is designed for anyone who is participating or is going to participate in the execution of projects, regardless of their level of responsibility. Directors or novice project managers, analysts with responsibility for projects, team leaders, and, in general, anyone who should know the basics of carrying out a successful project.

Certification

There isn’t an official certification associated with this course. However, students will earn 28 credit hours for their attendance.
