Culture design with Pablo Delgado-EN

This time we interviewed Pablo Delgado, Agile and Culture Design Expert at Netmind.

Pablo is part of the Madrid team, he is a trainer in Agile HR, Kanban and Lean Change Management.

Let’s start at the beginning, how did you come into contact with the world of agility and culture design within companies?

I entered the world of agility out of curiosity. I was in a selection team specialized in digital profiles, and we were looking to do things in a different way, researching and experimenting we discovered agility and especially Kanban.

It was just what we were looking for and it helped us to transform the way we approached selection processes. As a result of that experience, I went deeper, discovering that it goes beyond a way of doing things.

As for culture design, I firmly believe that those companies that take care of their culture have a competitive advantage over the rest. Proof of this is the flight of talent from many companies.

At Netmind, you have been able to work for clients, but you are also part of the process of creating culture internally. What can you tell us about this project?

Netmind has a brutal culture that has been emerging naturally. What we are looking for, is to be able to make this culture declarative, and to be more intentional in everything we do to create an aligned and consistent culture in everything we do.

What is the most common inconsistency you encounter when working with companies?

Many times we seek to introduce changes in organizations without even stopping to think about how this fits with the current culture of the organization.

What would you highlight most about being part of the Netmind team?

At Netmind we are surrounded by people who are very good at everything they do and that motivates you to grow and learn in order to maintain the level day by day.

Moving on to lighter topics, what is your favorite time of the day?

Without a doubt, breakfast, whether in the chaos during the week or quietly on the weekend.

We are told that you have an artistic streak, since when do you draw and what do you like to draw?

I have always drawn, all my textbooks and notes have always been full of drawings and doodles. What I do most is portraits with BIC pen for its speed and little preparation, but I love oil painting.

Finally, what is the biggest challenge you encounter when working with teams?

The challenge is not to complicate things. Sometimes we tend to want to do a lot of things and less is always more.
