Introduction to ISTQB Foundation Agile Tester Course

The ISTQB Agile Tester Foundation certification course is a two-day course that explains the fundamentals of testing in agile projects. This course is accredited by ISTQB and addresses ISTQB’s entry-level extension program: Agile Tester.

The course includes exercises and practice tests to highlight critical aspects of the subject matter and help students understand and practice the concepts and methods presented.


This training provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become effective members of an agile team. It explains the fundamentals of testing in agile projects, including commonly used agile development practices and processes. The traning also describes how to organize and estimate testing and how to apply risk-based testing in agile projects.

Student profile

This 2-day course is suitable for professionals in roles such as Testers, Test Analysts, Test Engineers, Test Consultants, Test Managers, Test Managers, User Acceptance Testers, Software Developers and anyone wishing to obtain the ISTQB Foundation Level Extension – Agile Tester certificate.

This course may also be appropriate for anyone who wants a deeper understanding of software testing in the Agile world, such as Project Managers, Quality Managers, Software Development Managers, Business Analysts, IT Directors and Management Consultants.

The certification is aimed at professionals who are already working in Agile environments. It is also for professionals who plan to start implementing Agile methods soon or working in companies that plan to do so.


To obtain the ISTQB Foundation Level Extension – Agile Tester certificate, you must have the ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level certificate (CTFL).


A Certificate of Attendance will be issued only to students with an attendance of more than 75% and a Diploma of Achievement if they also pass the evaluation test.
